No Siri AI in the EU
Apple were very fast to point the finger at the European Union and the Digital Markets Act yesterday. The press release hit my reader right after the Siri AI announcement.

The DMA is the same regulation that forced Apple to allow third party app stores and payment methods so Apple has strong feelings about it, and it seemed like they couldn't wait to direct their EU users ire towards it.
On this one though I'm with Apple. Imagine giving third party AI apps the same access as Siri AI. The thought of Meta AI having access to everything that is on my screen, all the time, is frightening. I want to use Siri AI precisely because it's Apple and not any other AI company. Rightly or not I do believe and trust Apples commitment to security and privacy.
